Erin Bradley (artist)
Clarinet (Jazz and Classical), Jazz Voice at Trinity and Guildhall Conservatoires
I have completed all of my grades on the Clarinet (Jazz and Classical) and I am applying for Jazz Voice at Trinity and Guildhall Conservatoires. I am with a Jazz Academy called NYJO, where we perform at different venues and improvise, allowing me to explore different avenues of the Jazz Genre and express myself. I am also composing with a variety of people around the world, am working in studios with them and am performing in Live Sessions. I hope to become a successful musician and explore more genres of music, as this will help my knowledge of music and allow me to experiment.
My performance theme is a fuse of R&B and Jazz. These are my two favourite genres and I believe that fusing them is right for SWS Florence 2020 as it shows an exploration of the arts, forming a genre that has been popular since the early 20s, with a genre that made its break in the 90s.
In this performance, I will be performing a composition called 'Bubbles', then covering Daniel Caesar and H.E.R's 'Best Part, and lastly, I will play a Jazz standard called 'Angel Eyes' on the Clarinet.
I believe that these pieces will represent my favourite types of music and the diversity in the pieces will attract a range of audiences and will allow people to notice the different types of art that people produce.
Audience: Everyone, I believe that anyone from any range can appreciate these Genres, especially Jazz, as it is ever expanding to fit different ages.
